16. Saginaw (15-6), A: Three starters return for the Trojans and coach Julian Taylor has a good mix of seniors and juniors. Eddie Thigpen (6-5) is a left-handed junior who averaged eight points and eight rebounds. Junior Ronquavis Southard (6-0) is a long-range shooter who averaged 20 points and eight assists. The others three starters are expected to be seniors. Jalen Davis (6-1) is an off guard who averaged nine points and is the leader on defense. Expect Terrance Crumpton (6-7) to show much improvement. Last season was his first on varsity. Jordan Coffey (6-1) is a pass-first point guard. Barrion Adams is the top reserve in the backcourt and the X-factor could well be junior Henry Stieghts (6-4), a transfer from Carrollton who will be eligible in January.   - State Champs

The Trojans won four straight district titles- with a state championship and state semifinal appearance - before seeing that streak snapped last season in Arthur Hill's run to the finals. Ronquavious Southward returns a year after being one of the team's most experienced players as a sophomore. The junior now has college recruiters on his heels and the Trojans also welcome Dream Team forward and fellow junior Henry Speight, who transferred from Carrollton. - Mlive.com

Rochester Adams (15-8) The Highlanders will have to face Clarkston and North Farmington twice as part of OAA-Red league play and will more than likely see the latter a third time in the first round of playoffs.  They have experience, chemistry, and are led by senior guards Spencer Littleson (Duquesne) and Joe Ziniti as well as senior David Rinke who will hold down the post.  All three will have the opportunity to play college basketball. - IPS Basketball

(15-8, Class A): The Highlanders return four starters from last year’s 15-8 team, led by 6-4 senior guard Spencer Littleton (Duquesne), 6-1 senior guard Joey Ziniti, 6-8 senior center David Rinke and 6-3 senior forward Adam Slating. “We’ll be very versatile on offense, where there are a number of players with the ability to score in transition or from the outside or inside,” Coach John Hall said. “Our success offensively will be in the hands of Spencer Littleton and his ability to balance being our go-to scorer along with distributing the ball to teammates when opponents try to take him away.” -  Detroit News

The Highlanders will compete once again in the rugged OAA Red with Clarkston and North Farmington, but the good news is this year the Highlanders will be in a separate district from Clarkston once the state tournament arrives. Adams is led by all-state candidate Spencer Littleson, one of the state’s premier shooters who has signed with Duquesne. Senior guards Joey Ziniti, Michael Girdler, Adam Slating and Joey Prechtel also are back. Another player to look out for is David Rinke, a 6-8 player who missed a majority of last season with an injury but has the ability to be a defensive and rebounding force inside for the Highlanders. -  MiPrepZone

4. Solon Comment: The Comets finished among the final four Division I teams and return a quality group led by DePaul commit Dee Bekelja and college prospects Alexis Stover and Valencia Myers. The Comets must replace Jordan Bekelja's leadership. Solon will also have to find meaningful minutes from the bench. .- Cleveland.com

How does this team jump up so big so quick? Simple, talent. The Cardinals should be the full package this season. Outside guards? check. Speed on the wing? Check. Post presence? Check. When they can keep the recipe cooking, this could be a tough team to boil down.. - NWITimes
